Young, beautiful, and ambitious Ada Jordan answers an ad for a secretarial *** and after a surprisingly short interview is hired by her handsome, urbane ****, Cooper Fielding. She is charmed by his Southern manners and agrees to accompany him to the isolated estate of his invalid Aunt Martha. In short order she finds her dream *** has turned into a nightmare.
